March 10: Trump said “GDP was zero essentially for the last two quarters.” Well no, GDP grew at an annual rate of between 1 and 2 percent during the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2015, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
June 15-During his announcement speech: “The last quarter, it was just announced, our gross domestic product … was below zero. Who ever heard of this? It’s never below zero.” Yes it has. It has been below zero 42 times since 1946.
