The size of certain things has always been difficult for Donald to convey truthfully and the audience size at his rallies is no exception. There will be more cities added to this page as many are missing including Orlando.
Arkansas : February 2: ‘So we broke the record, and I asked the fire marshal, ‘Please come up because nobody’s going to believe me. Please come up’” He later tweeted, ‘THANK YOU to everyone in Little Rock, Arkansas tonight! A record crowd of 12K.” The Daily Mail reported: “But the Barton Arena has just 7,150 seats, according to the fair’s website, and room for another 3,045 in floor seating, for a total of 10,195. While Trump’s fans were standing, not sitting, the floor was less than one-half full and some sections of seats remained mostly empty – suggesting the crowd was perhaps half of what was announced from the stage.”
PHOENIX July 1: Trump stated 15,000 people attended his rally Phoenix fire department said capacity for the North Ballroom was 4,200 people. The doors were closed with 4,169 attendees, said Phoenix Fire Department spokeswoman Shelly Jamison.
March 5 Orlando Twolied for the price of one! Trump claimed that Fire Marshalls had to eject people from the arena, that they were 10,000 over capacity, and thousands were outside.
From C-Span “LOOK AT THIS CROWD. ALL THE WAY UP TO THE RAFTERS. ALL THE WAY UP. UNBELIEVABLE. UNBELIEVABLE. THE FIRE MARSHAL, WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE OUTSIDE. WE LOST ABOUT 10,000 PEOPLE. THEY HAVE HAD TO LEAVE.”
Firstly, the CFE arena only holds 10,027. If 10,000 were ejected from the Arena as he claimed that would mean that 20,000 were admitted. The Fire Marshals could not have ejected 10,000, because there were not 10,000 in the arena. We were there that day. There were maybe 100-200 people that were NOT admitted. The ONLY people that had to leave were a few protestors that Trump ejected. From eye witness accounts the arena was in no way full, with complete sections empty. The doors were closed at way UNDER 10,000.
