Equality Florida is widely regarded as one of the most effective statewide advocacy organizations in the country.

Formed in 1997, Equality Florida is the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) residents.

Equality Florida has a professional staff of nine full-time employees located throughout the state. Headquartered in Tampa Bay, we are also on the ground in Miami, Orlando, and Tallahassee during legislative session.

The Orlando Youth Alliance (OYA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides a safe space for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and Questioning (GLBTQ) youth to gather, talk about issues and concerns that are important in their lives, as well as meet other gay youth. OYA is a peer based youth group with members ranging from the ages of 13 to 20.
